Biography
I discovered the wonderful world of art in my late 40s, when I enrolled on a watercolour painting evening class. From then onward on I was hooked. Initially I worked solely in watercolour, painting landscapes. After being given some pastels, I decided to try to use them. I found that I enjoyed the more direct process involved, and the effects that could be achieved.
More recently I have become interested in botanical painting & animal & human portraiture. I find the detailed approach very therapeutic but also love seeing the character of the subject gradually emerge on the paper.
I work predominantly in coloured & pastel pencils & graphite.

I do mostly pet portraits but also enjoy doing birds and wild animals as well as people.
